this is a perfect home base for exploring the coast, enjoying runs, walks and bike rides The gentle environment is filled with birdlife, including jays, woodpeckers, gulls, eagles and humming birds.
only a 03 km walk away is Gibson’s Ocean Beach Esplanade trail. The path is a five mile round trip loop from our front door. The Esplanade is along the waterfront, with public beach access, frequent benches, packed dirt for low impact running or walking, and black top for biking. Chaster Park is located along the Esplanade and is a popular destination for picnics, and beach combing, especially at low tide. The area is a frequent sight for weddings, romantic getaways and meditation. Two playgrounds are within a few minutes walk for those families that want outdoor entertainment close by.
gibsons also is the site of the k2, or knob trail — which is an intermediate trail leading to mount elphinstone, and the 26 mile bike loop of mount elphinstone provincial park
